I understand that loss of air from tyres can actually be air loss through the alloy wheels! Is this true? If it is - is there a sealant that can be pumped into tyre through the valve -- like the sealer used when tyre is flat due to puncture?

many thanks

go a visit your local fast fit center and see what they say.

Are you sure it didn't happen on 'trick or treat' night !

The alloy itself doesnt leak its corrosion and lifting paint around the rims that causes leaks. I've just had my alloys restored as they leaked before and now they are fine with the same tyres on. Otherwise remove tyres smooth off the rim with wire brush then paint or seal so the rim is smooth before putting tyre back on. A wire brush only is not enough as the bare alloy will continue to oxidise.

Thanks for the input. It wasnt halloween night, its been happening for a while now. You'd think that if this is a common occurance that Quick Fitters etc.... would suggest having the rims cleaned properly, before fitting new costly tyres!!!!(
